Sandi – Business/Office Manager
Being a part of Hughes Orthodontics for the past 20 years has given me the opportunity to be involved in every task in the office. I thoroughly enjoy the roles I play and the families that I meet. I have three wonderful children, Rose, Jon and Ross who make life interesting and complete. I enjoy the theatre, music and making scrapbooks. In my free time, I love to travel and experience different cultures.
Linda– New Patient Coordinator
As the New Patient Coordinator, I have the privilege of welcoming our new patients into our practice and helping them through the initial phase of orthodontics. I have four children Erica, Joe, Tiffany, Savanna and a grandson, Novi. I love to cook, make crafts and play outdoors with my dog, Snowball. My daughter, Tiffany, and I are proud to be graduates of Mt. Vernon High School.
Darlene – Chairside Technician & Scheduling Coordinator
For the past 25 years, I have held many different positions in a variety of dental specialties. In 2000, I joined Hughes Orthodontics and have enjoyed working in the clinic and the administrative areas. My husband, Garon, and I love playing with our greyhound. I’m involved in the Pet Therapy program and various greyhound rescue events. When I’m not playing with our greyhound I enjoy sewing and crafts.
Becky – Scheduling & Insurance Coordinator
My role is to warmly greet you and to efficiently schedule your appointments. As Insurance Coordinator, I'll also assist you with your insurance needs. My hobbies are shopping, keeping fit, and playing with my teacup Pomeranian, Gizmo.
Fleeta –Scheduling Coordinator
As a scheduling coordinator I enjoy getting to know our patients and helping you through the orthodontic process. I have three sons, Aaron (20), who is currently a patient of Dr. Hughes, Turner (18) and Ethan (15) who will soon be embraced! I have been married for 20 years to Tim. My hobbies include reading, history and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. I enjoy spending time with my pets – a pug named Dozer and my kitty cat, Dexter.
Rosa –Chairside Technician
As a clinical technician I get the opportunity of working on our patients and assisting Dr. Hughes. It is very rewarding to see the beautiful smiles that we help to create. I’m a recent graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. After attending the dental assisting program at West Potomac High School and doing my internship with Hughes Orthodontics, I decided to become a part of the team. I live with my two wonderful parents and two siblings, Marvin and Nancy. I enjoy shopping and watching movies.
Anita – Clinic Coordinator
I have been with Hughes Orthodontics for the past 7 years and I make sure that we have all the clinical supplies necessary to provide you with the state of the art orthodontics. I’ve been married to Rick for over 16 years. My 19 year old son, Travis, keeps me busy when I’m not at work. My hobbies are shopping, making crafts and enjoying different dining experiences.
Abdul – Chairside Technician and Lab Coordinator
During my externship from the Allied Career Dental Assisting program, I was given the opportunity to apprentice with and later join Hughes Orthodontics. For the past 8 years, I have served as a chairside technician and head lab technician. I'm married to Shazia and have two children, Sameeya, age 8, & Mohammad, age 6. In my spare time, I enjoy playing cricket for the Washington Cricket League.
Thuy – Chairside Technician
I assist Dr. Hughes with many clinical procedures. I'm originally from Vietnam and have resided in the United States for the past 10 years. I'm married to Tin and we have two wonderful sons, Timothy and Tyler. I love to cook and relax with my boys.
Lyudmila – Chairside Technician
I'm originally from Russia, but I have lived in the United States for the past 13 years. I have worked for several orthodontic practices and it is with great pleasure that I've joined Dr. Hughes' orthodontic team. I have two sons, Andrey and Sergey, and I enjoy gardening, designing dresses and decorating wedding cakes and homes.
Taylor –Assistant Lab Technician
I’ve been working in my Dad’s office for the past 4 years learning a variety of different tasks. I enjoy making retainers and pouring up models. Abdul and I work well as a team.
